TRANSFER IN & OUT
On arrival at the airport ,a bi-lingual guide will welcome you and take care of your transfer to the hotel. For the departure  the same courtesy will be extended.

CITY TOUR (03 HOURS)
Start out visiting the famous and lavish Opera House. Ride by the palatial residence which now serves as the seat of state government, know as the Rio Negro Palace. The Indian Museum will be the next stop.

ALLIGATOR SPOTTING ( W/DINNER)
(from  5:30 to 9:30 P.M)
An exciting experience on the rivers and creeks by boat or canoe. While cruising you will admire  the Unforgettable Amazonian sunset. Later we’ll proceed to the JANAUARY ECOLOGICAL PARK and watch the natives catching alligators with their bare hands using potent flashlights.

FULL DAY RIVER CRUISE W/LUNCH
( FROM 9:00 TO 3:00P.M)
After leaving from the floating dock, you will pass the wooden houses on stilts, the Main Market and Educandos creek. Then the boat will take you acroos the Rio Negro to the JANAUARY ECOLOGICAL PARK wich will offer you a wonderful opportunity to canoe amdist creeks and flooded forests with their exotic fauna and flora, including the famous VICTORIA REGIA water lilies. Next we will proceed to the “MEETING OF THE WATERS” where the muddy waters of the AMAZON RIVER run side by side with the dark waters of the RIO NEGRO without mixing; there you will see some rare species of dolphin frolicking in the water.

09:00 HRS – Departure from Manaus floating harbour. Along the left margin bordering  the city to the MEETING OF THE WATERS “then head on to TERRA NOVA ISLAND. Next stop will be at the JANAUARY ECOLOGICAL PARK. After a short  walk along the wooden bridge over the lake  to see the exuberant  VICTORIA REGIA waters lilies, ride will continue through the creeks, streams and Igarapés ( flooded  forest)  in a motorized canoe (Activity temporarily suspended because low river) , only stopping for piranha fishing until sunset. In the evening , alligator spotting at the near by lake, followed by a delicious dinner.
Return  to Manaus.

OVERNIGHT IN THE JUNGLE
02DAYS/01NIGHT

DAY 1 – 09:00 departure  from Manaus  floating harbour or  pier  of the Tropical Hotel along the left margin of the RIO NEGRO  to the MEETING OF THE WATERS , TERRA NOVA  ISLAND ,  with  visit  to a native’s house, manioc plantation , cocoa and rubber tree etc.
Following tour will head on to the JANAUARY ECOLOGICAL PARK where, after switching to a canoe,  a ride will enable  visiting the VICTORIA REGIA water lilies.
Early in the afternoon the tour will head upstream on the RIO NEGRO as far as JACARÉ-UBAL where one can admire a fabulous sunset. Right after dinner it will be time for alligator  spotting with a flashlight when, with the best of his skills , a native will catch an alligator spotting  with  his bare hands. You may choose to sleep in a hammock or in cabins while on board.

DAY 2 – After breackfast , boarding a dugout canoe is necessary in order to wonder around the lake and its creeks . The uncanny sounds of the forest are most impressive together with agile monkeys, colorful birds, aquatic plants, exotic flowers and insects. In such circumstances , swimming around or just taking it easy  is a must.
After  a leisurely afternoon, it’s back to the boat to head to Manaus.

03DAYS/02NIGHTS

After lunch, tour will continue  to the ANAVILHANAS  ARCHIPELAGO   ( 400 islands)  at night, right after a delicious dinner,  it’s time to hop in the canoe  once more to enjoy an authentic native fishing  expeditions around the COMPRIDO ISLAN AREA.

DAY 3 – Departure after breakfast for a ride through the JARAQUI STREAM and a hike in the forest until noon. Pause for relaxation with a few dips in the cool waters will be certainly invigorating . Lunch and ride back to Manaus.

Optional tour expedition to the magnificent, remote and unexplored  areas of upper RIO NEGRO  such as the CARABINANI RIVER, JAU NATIONAL PARK , UNINI RIVER, JAUAPERI RIVER and BRANCO RIVER , due  to distance factor, a prolonged stay is recommended and will be programmed upon request.
